gazebo Singing Oakes Garden

Welcome to Our 2016 Website!

Peggy and Jim
Dear Friends,

WELCOME to our 2016 catalogue. THANK YOU for your continued support and confidence in our plants!

The Garden is family owned and operated, doing all the work ourselves, striving to send you a large healthy plant. The plants are grown in the garden in good organic clay soil which has been amended for over 30 years. Many newer introductions which are too new to list are grown here. So if you are looking for a particular cultivar check with us first, it just may be in stock. Descriptions in the catalogue are brief, using only the information in the AHS checklist - to save space!

The catalogue is free of charge to all previous customers within the past 3 years. A new customer wishing to receive a copy must send $3.00 to help cover the cost of publishing and mailing which is fully refunded on your first order. Jim and Peg's Guide to Growing Great Daylilies

This sale applies ONLY to plants listed on the sale page. Minimum Order on the sales page is $50. Regular prices are already reduced, and I have reduced them further. This a great opportunity for you to add to your collection at absolutely give-away prices!!

We accept payment by check or money order made out to Singing Oakes Garden. We also accept payments by PayPal on our web site.

Our garden is state inspected annually; plants are healthy and correctly labeled. I personally dig all plants; I love gardening and enjoy working with our plants -- so very little outside help is involved. Double fan divisions or better will be sent unless they are listed as singles in the catalogue. If dissatisfied with plants, please do not plant. Return them to us immediately with the original label for a refund. I cannot be responsible for your growing conditions.

Some varieties are in short supply, particularly the newer introductions, so please order early. A list of substitutes would be helpful; however, I DO NOT substitute unless you allow me to do so. Substitutes will be of equal or greater value within reason.

I do give generous extras on all orders; (at least 25% of plant order - excluding shipping) so do send me a long list of suggestions to avoid duplicating something you already grow. Bonus will be selected from your suggestions IF they are available. No bonus on sale plants.

I ship by USPS PRIORITY MAIL the same day your plants are dug. Shipping is from April 1 (weather permitting) until October 1. Please specify a preferred shipping date or I will ship as soon as possible after receipt of your order.

Shipping Rates:

East of the Mississippi River - $7.00 plus $1.00 per plant
West of the Mississippi River - $12.00 plus $1.00 per plant

Gift Certificates are available and make wonderful gifts for your gardening friends and family. A gift of daylilies keeps on bringing joy for many years.

Club Orders are welcome. Contact me by email or telephone for all the details. I give great discounts to clubs.

The Gardens will be open during daylily bloom - May 18th through July 16 - Wednesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm. We are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday except by appointment. Peak bloom is usually mid June with good bloom from mid May through July. We invite you to visit our garden. We grow over 1000 different daylily cultivars as well as many other companion perennials, shrubs and trees. There is always something exciting in bloom.

Please call before scheduling a visit to insure that someone will be here as I do go to conventions and visit other gardens. I would be disappointed if I missed you.
